No.25 Wall hanging in broken twill and clasped weft weaving
handwoven imperfections

Ending 2020 with two handwoven wall hangings for a living room in the southern part of The Netherlands. Again using a broken twill pattern combined with the clasped weft technique which uses 2,3 or 4 interlocking weft colours. I used two interlocking weft colours for twin this piece no.25.

I find weaving with just five colours: natural white, charcoal, marigold orange, brass and yellow challenging, the options are limited and playing with colour is key to keep the design interesting.

  • yarn: 100% organic cottoline
  • warp colours: natural white | charcoal | marigold orange | brass | yellow
  • weft colours: natural white | charcoal | marigold orange | brass | yellow
  • size: length 400 cm x width 95 cm
  • weight: 1550 gram
